Inserting a Picture in a post
In order to post a picture in a topic, it MUST be located on the internet already. Our forum does not support uploading pictures into it.
In your internet browser, find the picture that you want to post, right-click on it, then left-click on Properties. This will bring up a window with the properties for the picture. You will need to copy the address (URL) of the picture, for example: http://www.stearnes.com/Pictures/tw/PICT0008.JPG
To insert the photo into your post, use these BBCode tags:
[img]http://www.stearnes.com/tw/PICT0029.JPG[/img]
Much like posting a link, the post editor will help you to insert images. Simply click the "Img" button, type or paste the link to the photo, then click "Img" again. This will put the tags around your link automatically.
As with any post involving BBCode, it's a good idea to click the Preview button to see if it works before clicking Submit.

In order for the image, URL or other commands to work, you must have the "Always allow BBCode" option in your profile set to "yes", or at least make sure the "Disable BBCode in this post" option below your message compose window is UNchecked. Otherwise it will ignore those bracketed commands.
Derek, the link you used was a webpage, not the image itself. Right-click on the image you want to use and click Properties; the address/URL is what you want to copy and paste into your message.
Oh wait, did Jill just say that? I'm an idiot again.
Maybe I'll just put the above sentences into my signature.

Jeepspeak doesnt allow right clicking and saving type of stuff.
It would be like remote linking which they dont like to allow.
So, I uploaded it into my webshots. Here it is...
Now just right click and copy the url and use it...I wont be deleting it since it doesnt take up much space anyways.

Is anyone else besides me just seeing a broken link symbol instead of Chris' pictures? None of them are loading, including the one in your signature. The wierd thing is that if I copy the link for the pics and open it in a new browser window, I can see them just fine.
Perhaps your site does not allow remote linking either?

Yahoo Photos and the other sites you've tried may block other sites from linking to their photos. Not sure what else to suggest... most ISP's give you some web space for free; sometimes you just have to ask them where it is and how to get to it. Insight Broadband does this for sure. You could also sign up for some free webspace at Geocities, but that might have the same no-crosslink issues.
If you e-mail me the pix you want, I can put them on my website and give you the link.
