MIJC Meeting Minutes: November 7th, 2015 at Avanti’s in Pekin, Illinois

Treasurer's Report

Old business

There was a trip to Potowatomi in Fulton, Mo on Saturday, October 10th. Good turnout. Trip was attended by Jon Martin, Matt Brown, Tom & Sally Evans, Steve Vohs, Al and Kat Wallace, Jim Heidbreder, Dave Black, Shannon Duling and Frank Struwe.

New business

The following nominations were made at the meeting:

President: Jon Martin

Events Coordinator: Al Wallace

Secretary: Frank Struwe

As Jon Martin is currently serving as Treasurer he chose to resign that position as of the December meeting to allow him to be free to assume President upon voting at that meeting. Following Article 10, Section G of the MIJC Bylaws for a vacated board member position, nominations for a new Treasurer were opened during the meeting. Jill Martin was nominated for Treasurer. This position will be voted upon during the December meeting. This position will be held for a year following Article 10, Section C which reads that Treasurer will be elected in even years.

Nominations are closed.

A proposed 2016 schedule was presented by Al Wallace. Club will approve the 2016 schedule at the December meeting.

Club members may start paying 2016 dues at the December meeting. Each existing member has until January 31st to pay 2016 dues, and after that date a late fee of $10 will be applied to the dues per Bylaw Article 3, Section E, subsection 4.

A motion was passed for the club to buy pizzas for lunch at December meeting.

There is a trip to the Badlands November 14th. Watch forum for information.

There is also a trip to Flat Nasty Thanksgiving weekend on November, 27th. See forum for information.

Please be sure to get all 2015 video and pictures to Jon Martin, Frank Struwe or Dave Lennie asap. Currently there is not enough pictures and video material for an end of the year video.
