MIJC Meeting Minutes: April 11th, 2014 at Avanti’s in Pekin, Illinois

Treasurer's Report

Starting: $2,350.29

Ending: $2,124.45

Expenses – food for inspections, food for Flat Nasty trip.

Income – dues and merchandise sales.

Old business

There was a to the Badlands on March 21st. Had at least 10 jeeps in attendance. Good day of wheeling.

There was also a trip to Flat Nasty in Jadwin, Mo April 4th weekend. 12 jeeps that weekend. Thanks to the Brown clan for all their help with planning, shopping and cooking.

New business

There is a trip to the Cliffs on April 25th. Watch forum for information.

The Big Trip for 2015 is to Harlan, Kentucky from May16th through the 25th. Tom Evans has been coordinating lodging, and at this point if he doesn’t know you are going you aren’t. Or you get to sleep outside. Unless you’ve made your own arrangements.

May 22nd is the annual Louie-Louie parade to support St. Jude Foundation. Watch forum for information on where to meet for the parade. If you join be sure to bring lots of candy to throw to the crowd.

A motion was passed to donate $200 to the Louie-Louie parade. Entry fee is $100 minimum, but motion was to double the amount to support St. Jude.

John Martin will reach out to the JK’s of Peoria club to determine if they want to either join us in the parade and / or wish to contribute to the donation (although the latter is not required for them to join us in the parade; the more jeeps the better!).

Next Meeting May 2nd 2014 at Our Inn Place, Pekin, Illinois at 6pm for the first cruise of the year!
