February 2023 meeting minutes

The February 4th 2023 meeting was held at Avanti's in Pekin at 1:30pm.

Treasurer's report
Current balance: $839.96
Activity since last report: spent $263.28 on website hosting (two years) and $60 for the lawyer to file our 2022 annual report with the state. John Geiselman motioned to approve, Mike Peters seconded, all in favor, none opposed.

Mike Peters motioned that the club buy today's lunch, John Geiselman seconded, all in favor, none opposed.

Much discussion occurred about dues and club expenses. Shannon Duling motioned to waive membership dues for 2023, Mike Peters seconded, all in favor, none opposed.

Agreed to have discussion next month regarding the future of the club. Concepts discussed range from eliminating all club expenses (web site hosting, domain name, lawyer filing annual report), dissolving the official non-profit status, where/how club communication should occur (website vs forum vs facebook vs email), to ideas for growing participation and membership.

Much discussion occurred regarding the 2023 big trip. Appears there will be two options, June 18-24 to various locations in Arkansas / Missouri (SMORR, others) and August 11-17 Ouray / Ridgeway / Telluride area Colorado.

Next month's meeting will be at Avanti's in Pekin on Saturday March 4th at 1pm.
